A Staple In the Community
Valley Health Services (formerly Valley Counseling Services) has been providing behavioral healthcare to the community for over 65 years, serving the counties of Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, and Geauga and nearly 30,000 patients each year.
After merging with AxessPointe Community Health Centers on January 1, 2024, Valley Health Services is now designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As an FQHC, Valley Health Services offers care on a sliding fee scale and provides assistance with enrollment in Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring that high-quality healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of financial status. In addition, it now offers a full spectrum of comprehensive health services, including primary medical, dental, and pharmacy services, in addition to its longstanding behavioral health and substance use disorder services.
Valley Health Services is partially funded by the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board and the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board.
